Catmold Controversy
As we all know, CATMOLD is an (admittedly unregistered) scientific research foundation dedicated to researching the mold that appears to grow on felines. Recently, some controversy has been uncovered from both recent and historic events.
In January of 1994, the CATMOLD head scientist and social media manager faced accusations of promoting Synth Dairy, an artificial milk brand. Synth Dairy claimed that their product 'tastes more like milk than real milk,' a statement that later proved to be unsubstantiated. The CATMOLD Spokesperson spoke out about this accusation, claiming that "they paid me like 12 gazillion dollars, how am I supposed to pass that up?"
However, in May 1996, it was revealed that Synth Dairy was a subsidiary of CATMOLD. Synth Dairy was subsequently shut down three months later after CATMOLD's Senior Associate Director of Management, Bernard Whitley, disclosed the information during a press conference, effectively plunging the company into chaos. He stated in a strong Boston accent: '...it was just a side hustle, you know? We at catmold are committed to staying on the grind. It wouldn't be like us to, you know, not have some side hustles.' When pressed about the extent of such side projects, Whitley added, 'There might be a few... hundred. Sometimes I just get bored and make a few.'
Ethics and economics professional Gary Mitchell announced that the actions of CATMOLD are very unprofessional and "made him want to scream and cry."
